How the calculator works
Each Pal species has a hidden breeding power. When two Pals share a Breeding Farm, the game averages their two values and hatches the species closest to that average. Common Pals sit at the high end of the scale and legendaries at the low end, so pairing a strong Pal with a weak one lands somewhere in the middle.
136 special pairs ignore the average and always hatch one fixed Pal, such as Jormuntide with Blazehowl for Jormuntide Ignis. The calculator checks those first, exactly like the game. The breeding guide walks through the full rules with an example.
Common questions
How does breeding work in Palworld?
Every Pal has a hidden breeding power. The game averages the two parents' values and hatches the Pal whose value is closest. About 136 special pairs skip that rule and always give one fixed Pal.
Can any two Pals breed?
Yes. Any male and female can share a Breeding Farm, whatever their species. The egg is decided by the breeding power average or by a special combination.
Which Pals cannot be bred?
26 Pals can only hatch from two of the same species, including Frostallion, Grizzbolt, Jetragon, Necromus, Paladius and Shadowbeak. You need to obtain one first, then pair it with another of its kind.
How do I breed Anubis?
In version 1.0 Anubis comes from normal breeding, with 233 parent pairs. Early options include Blazamut + Dualith, Suzaku Aqua + Lyleen Noct and Whalaska + Lyleen Noct.
Does the order or gender of the parents matter?
Order never matters. Gender only matters for one pair: a female Wixen with a male Katress hatches Wixen Noct and a female Katress with a male Wixen hatches Katress Ignis.
